Irresistible to bees, butterflies and hummingbirds the fragrant, long-blooming flowers of Bee Balm enliven the summer garden for weeks! Raspberry Wine has purplish red, globular flowers that emerge from raspberry-like buds at the tips of the upright stems in June, the flowers lasting for weeks. Handsome burgundy leaf bracts surround the flowers for additional color. Edible, minty-scented grayish green leaves can be used to make tea. Removing faded flowers extends the bloom for several more weeks! Super paired with Siberian Iris, Monkshood (Aconitum), Obedient Plant (Physostegia) and Stonecrop (Sedum).
